Senior Moment-um is an active senior adult program that meets regularly on Mondays. This program is open to residents of Gilford and the surrounding communities.
RSVP to the Gilford Parks and Recreation Department by the date specified by calling the office at 527-4722. Unlike in the past, it is now REQUIRED that you RSVP by the date provided.

In order to honor “Mothers” everywhere, we’re hosting a Mother’s Day breakfast fit for a queen! We will meet at the Gilford Community Church, Fellowship Hall at 9:00 AM for a breakfast consisting of a delicious breakfast casserole served with biscuits, fruit salad, coffee, tea, and juice. There will be a $5.00 charge for the breakfast. We’ll also share a fun list of “Mom” phrases, also known as “Momilies” - we all probably have one or two! Please RSVP by Thursday, May 5.
“Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole!!!!” In honor of “Cinco de Mayo” (Spanish for “Fifth of May”), we’re having a tasty Mexican luncheon, consisting of a chicken burrito bake with Mexican rice and refried beans, dessert, coffee, tea, water, and “Faux Margaritas.” So, put on your “sombreros” and come join our little fiesta!! We will meet at the Gilford Community Church, Fellowship Hall at 12:00 Noon. The cost will be $10.00 per person. We’ll even throw in a little “Mexican trivia!!” Please RSVP by Thursday, May 19.
Yes, we’re bringing back “The Senior/Senior Prom!!!” Sponsored and hosted by the Gilford High School National Honor Society, the program will run from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the Gilford High School Cafeteria. Dinner, along with dessert, will be served at 5:00 PM, followed by great music and dancing. There will also be coffee, tea, water, and punch to drink. There is NO CHARGE for the program, and everyone is welcome! There will be plenty of students looking for a dance partner, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes! If you’re a bit shy, there will be a lot of group dancing for you to join in on – or you can simply sit and enjoy the music and the comraderie! So, come dance the night away with us!!! Please join us as we watch the GMS Performing Arts presentation of “Newsies Jr.”, a musical inspired by a rousing true story of newsboys in turn-of-the-century New York City. These young Middle School students will delight, entertain, and amaze you! We will be providing a “dessert and coffee” hour, starting at 5:00 PM in the Gilford High School Cafeteria. A selection of yummy desserts and pastries, coffee, tea, and water will be provided. The show starts promptly at 6:00 PM in the GHS Auditorium. There is NO charge for the performance, but space is limited. PLEASE RSVP NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, MAY 27. At the present time, masks are optional in the schools, but this policy is subject to change at any time, so please be prepared to have a mask with you.
Come join us to say “Aloha” to the summer! In honor of our much anticipated return to summer, we will be having a luau with authentic Hawaiian food cooked by in-house chef, Dan Barnhart, who also spends part of each year with his family at his other home in Hawaii! We will be meeting at the Gilford Community Church, Fellowship Hall at 12:00 Noon for a festive feast. Just to be fair and equal, now we’re going to honor “Fathers” everywhere! We’re hosting a Father’s Day luncheon, complete with an Italian sub sandwich, chips, pickles, dessert, soda, coffee, tea, and water. Once lunch is served, we can sit back and enjoy the family comedy movie “The Game Plan,” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
