The Gilford Parks and Recreation Department, Gilford Public Library and Ooo La La Cakes in Laconia are partnering to sponsor a virtual “Nailed It!” program during February vacation week. This program is based off the television show “Nailed It!” where participants watch a professional baker perform a demonstration and then do their best to re-create said demonstration. For our program, Ooo La La’s Chef Allen will be serving as our professional baker, who will be demonstrating how to decorate a cake. This Zoom event will take place on Wednesday, February 24th at 2:00p.m. Participants will want to bake their cake in advance to ensure that it has properly cooled before the Zoom event where decorating will take place. Participants can attempt to follow Chef Allen’s cake recipe or they can simply bake their own box cake. However, the competition itself and judging will be strictly on the decorating of the cake.
Attached is the program flyer that includes additional information. Interested participants should register in advance for this Zoom event by clicking here: Zoom registration link . All participants should register no later than Monday, February 22nd. Once registered, participants will receive additional information, including all the ingredients/supplies they will need to complete the decorating competition.
Any questions should be directed to the Gilford Public Library at 524-6042.
